Database Import Service

We will import your existing part database data into PartsBox. Any machine-readable format is fine: send us Excel spreadsheets, CSV data, SQL or XML dumps, anything goes. We will deal with it, process it and import as much as possible into PartsBox. Just E-mail us with your data after signing up (there is a non-refundable one-time charge of $199/€199 for this service). See also Data Migration.

Your data is always yours

It's your data. You can export everything you entered, anytime. Data export is a fundamental PartsBox feature that is developed and maintained to the same standards as the rest of the app. We want you to use PartsBox because it provides value, not because you are forced to. You can feel safe that no one will ever hold your data hostage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a credit card required for trial?

No, the trial does not require a credit card. After the trial, if you choose to subscribe, you will need to enter credit card information.

What payment types do you accept?

Monthly plans require a credit card. With annual billing, EU SEPA wire transfers are also accepted. Custom arrangements are possible in Company plan and higher.

Can I trust you with my credit card?

We use Braintree (PayPal) as the payment gateway. Your card information never reaches our servers: we don't see it, or store it.

Can I change my plan in the future?

Yes. Please contact support if you'd like to switch to a different plan.

Are the user limits fixed?

No. Please contact PartsBox if you need more users without the extra features of a higher plan.

Why is there no cheap hobbyist plan?

The EU makes selling to individuals difficult. We are trying to figure out how to automate things so that a hobbyist plan isn't too expensive and so that we don't lose money on every customer.

Is there a plan for Hackerspaces?

We support Hacker/Makerspaces, but each one is different: some are non-profit, and some are commercial businesses. If you are interested in PartsBox for your makerspace, please contact us.
