Multiple Currencies

If you buy parts from more than one country, your prices arrive in more than one currency. PartsBox handles that for you. Pick your preferred currency in the settings and every price in the application is shown in it. Change it whenever you like.

Each price keeps the currency it was entered in. When you record a part cost or add an offer, you choose any supported currency, and PartsBox stores the amount with that currency rather than converting it and forgetting the original. Conversion happens on display, so the record stays true to what you actually paid.

Comparing offers across currencies

This matters most when pricing a BOM. Online offers for one board can come in several currencies at once; PartsBox converts them all to your currency, so you compare like with like and pick the best offer without doing arithmetic in your head. Your own local offers work the same way: a quote negotiated in euros ranks directly against a catalog price in dollars.

The conversion reaches everywhere prices are added up. Inventory value sums stock bought in several currencies into one total in your currency, and build costing reports the material cost of a production batch the same way.

Supported currencies and rates

PartsBox supports more than thirty currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, and PLN, with more added as customers ask for them. Conversions use European Central Bank reference rates, updated regularly.

The free Maker plan works in a single currency of your choice. Multiple currencies start on the Essentials plan.
