Saved Presets

You rebuild the same views over and over: the filter that finds low-stock parts, the column layout for a purchasing review, the sort that puts the oldest lots first. A preset saves that work so you can recall it in one click.

PartsBox keeps two kinds of presets. A filter preset stores a whole filter — every condition and the AND/OR logic between them — so a query you spent time building is one menu choice away. A configuration preset stores a table's layout: which columns show, their order, their widths, and the sort. The two are independent, so you can load a filter without touching your columns, or switch column layouts without changing the filter. The text in the in-table search box is transient and never part of a preset — presets store the structured filter, not what you last typed.

Every preset is either personal or company-wide. A personal preset is yours alone. A company preset is shared with everyone on the team, so one person can define the low-stock view or the purchasing layout the whole company uses, and everyone else loads it by name. You can rename, duplicate, and move a preset between personal and company at any time.

Presets work on the same tables you filter and configure — parts, projects, orders, storage, lots, and builds.

Saved presets are in every plan, including the free Maker plan. Company-wide presets need more than one user, which starts on the Essentials plan.
