The PartsBox interface is translated into more than twenty languages. You choose your language in your user preferences, and the whole application — menus, labels, buttons, and messages — follows it.
The languages include German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Turkish, and Hindi, among others. Portuguese comes in both European and Brazilian variants, and Chinese in both simplified and traditional scripts.
Language is set per person, not per database. On a shared organization database, one engineer can work in German while a colleague works in Japanese, on exactly the same parts, stock, and BOMs. Changing your language never changes anyone else's.
Translation covers the interface, not the data you enter. Your part names, descriptions, custom fields, and notes stay exactly as you typed them, in whatever language you used. The date format is a separate per-user preference, so day-month-year and month-day-year coexist on the same team without confusion.
